Installing WhatsApp on your PC using the BlueStacks emulator

Configuring WhatsApp

If everything went right, you are now greeted with the WhatsApp splash screen. Click Agree and Continue to start the configuration process. Select your country and enter your phone number.

It used to be possible to use your home phone number too, but as of 2013, this functionality seems to have been removed. If you are already using WhatsApp on your cellphone, and you enter your cellphone number, WhatsApp on your phone will be deactivated. You can’t use WhatsApp on multiple devices at once.

WhatsApp will now try to send you a SMS message to confirm the installation. If this does not work, you will receive a free call with a confirmation code. There is a 5 minute timer before you get a call. You have to wait it through to complete the verification process.

Enter the code you receive, and the installation process will be finished. That’s it! You now have installed WhatsApp on your PC!
